Stonebarn Truffle Tapenade & Cheese Toastie

If you love salty, savoury bites and you’re not much of a cook, then this super quick recipe is for you.

We’ve used our Stonebarn Truffle Tapenade and mixed it with a pesto sauce and Stonearn Truffle Mustard to create a pesto tapenade. Adding pesto sauce to truffle tapenade moves the flavors along to a brighter result. The addition of the truffle mustard gives it less of a one-note, overly-salty, olivey taste. Oh yes, this final combination is seriously delicious!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Stonebarn Truffle Tapenade
1 tbsp pesto sauce
½ tsp Stonebarn Truffle Mustard
2 slices of cheese (enough to cover each slice of bread) 1tbsp Stonebarn Truffle Butter (enough to cover both sides of bread)
2 slices of bread

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine and mix Stonebarn Truffle Tapenade with pesto sauce and Stonebarn Truffle Mustard. Optional: Add a sprinkling of dried italian herbs.
  2. Spread Stonebarn Truffle Butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place cheese on the other side of each slice of bread.
  4. Spread mixture over one slice of cheese/bread.
  5. Place the other slice of cheese/bread on top of the mixture to make a sandwich.
  6. Put sandwich in a toastie maker
  7. Cook until the sandwich is golden brown and cheese is melted.
